Write for us
United Cinema Review welcomes pitches that help readers notice a specific choice in cinema and understand what it does. Send proposals through the Contact page; do not send a full draft unless requested.
What we want to read
Pitch a focused piece on story, performance, image, sound or editing. Strong proposals name the film or screen moment, state the question the piece will answer and explain what a reader will be able to notice afterward.
Make the case clearly
Show that the idea has a distinct angle rather than offering a broad review or plot recap. Tell us the intended form, approximate scope and any sources or access the piece would depend on. Keep claims proportionate to the material you can support.
Sending a proposal
Use the Contact page and choose the editorial question option. Include a short summary and a brief note about your approach. A pitch is a proposal, not a guarantee of publication; we may ask for revisions or further details.
Every frame has a point of view
We believe close attention makes films richer, not smaller. Start with what is on screen, then ask what each choice lets you notice.
